Advertisement/Notification No: SACPRSD/ LBU/EPEB/2026 Dated 14.08.2025 Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the Executive Programme in Entrepreneurship Development and Buddhist Ethics, offered by the South Asia Centre for Peace Research and Sustainable Development (SACPRSD) in collaboration with Lumbini Buddhist University (LBU), established by the South Asia Foundation–Nepal (SAF–Nepal). This unique 3-month twice-weekly programme blends the timeless values of Gautam Buddha’s teachings with modern entrepreneurial practices, equipping participants with the skills, mindset, and ethical foundation to lead purposeful and sustainable enterprises. Senior academicians and corporate leaders will serve as faculty members for this course, ensuring a rich balance of academic insight and practical experience.
PROGRAMME STRUCTURE & MODE

Duration – 3 months

Schedule – Saturdays and Sundays, each session 2.5 hours

Format – Hybrid: weekend classroom sessions, guided readings, case reflections, and selfdirected application

PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES

Explore the intersection of Buddhist moral principles with modern entrepreneurial frameworks

Translate Buddhist concepts—like mindfulness, compassion, and interdependence—into innovative enterprise practices

LEARNING MODULES

Month 1 – Foundations of Buddhist Ethics in Enterprise: Teachings on mindfulness, Right Intention, compassion; ethics vs. profitability; case discussions

Month 2 – Entrepreneurial Mindset and Ethical Innovation: Idea generation rooted in social purpose; ethical business models; impact evaluation

Month 3 – Leadership, Mindful Business Strategy & Sustainability: Mindful communication; values-based leadership; sustainable business planning; capstone ethical innovation project
ASSESSMENT & PARTICIPATION

Reflection Assignments – short reflections linking learning with participant contexts

Ethical Enterprise Project – capstone proposal showcasing an ethical/sustainable venture idea

Participation – active engagement in discussions, case studies, and peer learning ELIGIBILITY

Bachelor’s degree (any discipline) from a recognized university

Minimum of 2 years’ relevant job experience (mid-level and entry-level executives are encouraged to apply)
